Greetings from Manchester. See? I did say I shall serve you all my
days :-)
As far as I am concerned, you may talk about VV as much as you like!
Apart from the fact that I do not actually have any system that I can
claim to be better than yours, here is my interest in MediDesk:
1. It is a totally new paradigm in clinical information management
2. As such, it is worthy news to gp-uk and not just a short comment
3. My belief, given the objectives of the WP, the PM and the IM&T
strategy of achieving the EHR (at last we move away from the messaging
paradigm into the EHR one), that none of the existing closed and
vertical mono-platform, mono-application syatems (good as they may be
but their days are over), can actually deliver said EHR.
(apology for the long sentence!)
4. I wrote few pages of guidelines into html for the project but have
no financial interest in the product
5. I think the rationale and thinking behind MediDesk should be
dissiminated as widely as possible *because* it signals the arrival of
the 4th generation of information management systems. That arrival is
something I, and many others who are not locked in in closed systems,
have campaigned to achieve for many years.
6. This is vintage Risk informing the people he knows wish to be
informed. No advertising was intended. If you saw it as such, then
hey ho, perhaps you don't know me well enough :-)
>I have no objection to you putting a *short* comment on GP-UK
Thank you for the permission, I shall bear that in mind.
