Currently am involved with some practical training with Bernhard
Fuerthauer, who is a GP, in Salzburg
cand.med. Birgit Kiefer, Billrothgasse 41/106, A-8047 Graz
It would seem to me from the above extract that the posting about home
visits has come from
Dr Kiefer whilst training in Dr Fuerthauer's surgery. It reminds me of my
own idealistic start in general practice when there was plenty of time for
home visits etc. and the realities of being a real GP had not hit home. I
would not want to see that enjoyment blunted as it can sustain enthusiasm
for years until successive changes in primary care effect a conversion to a
pacy pragmatist. I also have fond memories of Saltzburg and maybe it it's a
good place to be a GP
Enjoy your home visits as long as you can Dr Kiefer.
