Sorry to run up your phone bill but I think it was in a good cause :-)
Didn't come up with any answers to the problem but I am concerned about the
repeated mention of "The Firm". I have the greatest respect for the minds of
those who suggest to us that this is the way of the future and a solution to
our problem BUT it all sounds as hopeful to me as being able to find another
7500 Doctors, constructing EPR/EHRs from all GPs records or indeed
connecting all of us via the NHSnet.
Would anyone volunteer to explain to me/us how "The Firm" will help our
profession's position. If it will raise GP morale then maybe we can all
relax and stop trying to think up other unworkable schemes or even
resigning!
Or is it like the Emperor's New Clothes?
Regards
Peter
