Hmmm - I am not sure that the Huntsman (john@peel) was saying this - and
also not sure that you are saying he was ;-)
You of course have a point - but the art of GP is the balance and not
running full pelt at every symptom offered.
You of course know this - just as the Huntsman intrinsically knows your
point.
I would love to become the GP who automatically investigates every
symtom to the nth degree - I would have very little stess, I would cost
the NHS a fortune, I would have less new problems to sort cos my
surgeries would be full with the _come back so we can discuss your
results_ patients etc etc
....but could I call myself a good GP?
