Part of my Y2000 plan is to switch off on 31.12.1998, and ask about a
week later (assuming that *anything* eg the electrical supply and the
phone is functioning!) whether it is safe to resume...
So far, I haven't seen any reason to revise this.

Using the paper-based claim forms (if they still exist in sufficient
quantities ;-<) *isn't* the problem.
The idea behind Links was to make large numbers of trained staff
redundant; this has been accomplished.
Does anyone know whether there is a national of HA contingency plan for
dealing with the failure of Links (or indeed anything else.. ;-<<<) on
1.1.2000?
