just read that the German pilots with ICD-10 in General Practice (several
thousand practices were involved) met so much resistance and worked out so
badly that they probably will not be introduced at all (this was planned
already for 1996).
Swiss DPRs oppose ICD-coding. They stated that ICD-10 coding of diagnoses
creates a major privacy problem, among other reasons because so much data
are produced that administrative staff has to handle them instread of
doctors.
