Expensive luxury? Beg pardon?
I kind of lose your line of reasoning here, Jel. Primary care is the cheap
bit of the NHS, pro rata. Without it (unless you are proposing private
primary care as a replacement) the NHS bill would hit the roof.
Zapping NHS primary care is viewed by all political parties as the one
political no-no that leads back to being in opposition. It never feels like
it, because our politicians are better at playing the game of bluff over
this position than we are.
