Funny how things come in runs, isn't it?
I've seen a few patients recently, all elderly,
complaining of excessive sweating at night.
Night sweats always makes me think of TB, although
I've never actually seen acute TB (although I may
have missed the diagnosis, of course).
I never know what to do with these heavy sweaters
(although I could change to a light cardigan,
I suppose).
Baseline investigations (when I do them) are usually
normal.
Any thoughts?
Can anyone think of a reason to explain this?
Their stories can be quite dramatic. Waking up twice
a night and having to change their night attire.
