Crass beyond acceptability if I had meant it. It was Peter Fellows, in
fact, who posted-
'I'm very glad Tim Paine ( my trainer of 23 years ago) is still so
enamoured with general practice. He always had an infectious enthusiasm,
some of which I retain'
There must be much good, therefore, to the man and although I thought
his posting somewhat derogatory and childish, to the extent that I
couldn't let it pass as you know, I think I can understand his point of
view if not agree with it. I thought a simple re-iteration of Peter's
gentle reminder would prevent us from being similarly derogatory to
himself.
>Maybe you had someone else in mind?
It was Peter - but - it was not a judgement! That is what I found
unacceptable in Tim's posting.
>Or did it just seem like a clever thing to say at the time?
It would have been malicious, not clever. But I should check my memory
more accurately in future and take care that ascii has no face to it.
Regards
George
