There are potential problems with data merging which requires pretty clever software to handle
We used to have data merging 8 yrs ago but abandoned it when on occasion we noted that a
cervical smear result had been overwritten
If both sites are active the problem for the software is knowing which of 2 potentially
conflicting versions is correct
