I think that this assumption is quite wrong. We only have to look at the
past history of a "single system" north of the border to see the problems
that lack of competition brings. The diversity in GP systems is continually
pushing forward the boundaries of GP IT. One single system would lead to
stagnation and the ultimate demise of GP computing IMHO.
My reading of the document did not see the above implied. However, future
RFAs would continue to specify how the EHR was developed and implemented.
