if the PCGs function was to represent patients thro' the patients' GPs
(as their knowledgable advocates) in order to improve health related
services generally (what a mouthful) then i'd be happy. as it is i
suspect they will be distracted sorely by the bureacratic role they're
taking on from the HAs; and will simply not be able to see the wood for
the trees.
i suspect their will be many within HAs quite happy to see PCGs
impotently limping along, 2 steps behind, and conveniently absent when
the real decisions are being made
