Thinking a little more about this...how would they get more clued
up?
Does the convening authority - the secretariat provider - provide
standard reference books - eg the Red book, and suitable access to
medical reference?
Is there a PC connected to the WWW in case medline or other
resources need to be consulted to demonstrate a point - perhaps on
consensus management of a condition?
I suspect that the way in which these hearings are organised, in
some areas, may be such that it would cause any of our legal
brethren chairing a tribunal to go sulky and sarcastic.
