Thank you everyone who replied, both privately and publically: your
comments and advice were very helpful.
My situation is slightly different from those in other PCGs. Dunstable
and Houghton Regis is a Locality Commissioning Pilot, and large enough
to go forward as a PCG. We have been merged with Leighton Buzzard
Locality, mainly because LB is too small to be a PCG, and the result is
that GP representation will be on a *geographical* basis, at anyrate for
the first election - 3 for LB, 4 for D&HR.
The other result of this is that, *if* all the members of the D&HRLCP
core group stand for the PCG Board, 5 of the 9 will be disappointed...
In the Core Group, the members represent their practices - and can
deliver what they undertake. Can anyone tell me what the GP Board
Members are supposed to represent? HSC139 is specific that all *groups*
(such as single handers and non-principals) have to be represented.. and
my feeling is that we could well end with a lack of representation of
the medium-sized non-fundholders! ;-<<
