Advice please people
Chap in 40s with 3 episodes of urticaria with lip swelling over 10
months. No obvious precipitant. No wheeze. Blames dental substance 10
months ago - something to do with his false teeth that he wears daily.
Is there a role for steroids in the acute phase?
Would it be brave to not give steroids to someone with an allergic type
reaction with lip swelling?
Is there a role for ranitidine in the acute phase?
Where do antihistamines fit in?
Anyone clued up on this stuff - or have good references?
TIA
Cheers
