Whilst I agree with most of what you say, unfortunately *trust* can be
misplaced. It never ceases to amaze me how every sorry tale of
negligence (and I mean real negligent bad-doctoring, not the there-but
for-the grace-of-god-go-I stuff) always is accompanied by petitions from
patients, attesting to how this practitioner was the greatest gift to
medicine since Fleming. There are crap doctors practising as principals
and ace clinicians working as deputies.
No, the main problem is that the nation will not want to afford
convenient medicine, and it will encourage over-dependance.
