and who would you trust. The doctor you have known for some years, is
'usually a safe pair of hands' who is available at 'normal' hours at his
surgery. Or the doctor who recently qualified , relatively
inexperienced, couldn't care less if he doesn't see the patient again as
long as he gets paid quadruple time for the graveyard shift. When I am
really ill as opposed to merely inconvenienced by my body I know who I
would prefer to see. *Trust* develops through time and *experience*.
Convenience costs merely money. Boots Pharmacy I would equate with
convenience. Our local pharmacist is not always so convenient but he
is certainly trusted. When NHS General Practice is taken over by Boots
the public will again consider paying to see the trusted doctor who
didn't accept the Boots shilling . Yes even with his quaint old
fashioned hours. Perhaps goes with the quaint, old fashioned
experience.
