The British squadies in the Falklands called the natives 'Bennies',
referring to a very dumb TV show (Crossroads) character called Benny.
Word came from high above in the Part I Orders that this practice was
not PC and must stop immediately.
The squadies, undeterred, started calling the natives 'stills'
(although we are not allowed to call them bennies, they 'still' are)!
The playfulness of language, eh?
