I believe the project worked well, but only in a very limited way. Patients
kept leaving their cards at home, and going places that did not have a
reader. The vehicle of transmission it might be argued is not terribly
important. The development and use of security routines would still be
required, not least to prevent Joe Dealer from tampering with a valid
script and adding an item or increasing a quantity.
