Perhaps I'm being a bit dim but why? Is it to spread the blame if
anything goes wrong, as it most certainly will here and there?

I read in one of the comics there are 39000 alternative practitioners as
against 36000 GPs. They must get their trade from somewhere. As far as
pharmacists are concerned I see no reason for them to be excluded, at
least they follow the same scientific paradigm as doctors, provided they
are allowed to see the condition they prescribed for through to its
conclusion.

Would pharmacists carry the same insurance as Drs if something happens?
Personally I don't see it as any more harmful than a whole lot of other
things available across the counter.
