Women illiterate or otherwise 100% deserve easy, confidential,
non-moralising access to post-coital contraception. FP clinics, GP
surgeries, and A and E DEpts have not (cannot) organise themselves to do
this. Is it ethical to refuse to support this careful approach( only
specially trained pharmacist would be allowed to provide PC4 according to
agreed protocols AND it will need legislation to allow it to happen).
The risks to life and health of the woman from this medication are
virtually nil- on a risk-benefit analysis the scales are heavily
infavour of pharmacy-provided PC4 compared to pregnancy or TOP. Fleur
