Is this any help
?
John
he might have a lin in his AUTOEXEC.BAT file that has
something like "REM - by windows setup - c:\windows\mscdex.exe .....". If
he does take out everything until "c:\windows\mscdex.exe" and that might
bring back the CD rom. Assuming that works he can then copy the setup files
from his win95 cd onto his harddisk and reinstall from that. But this could
be construed as something complicated, might be worth a trip to a shop.
There is a place used to be called WYSIWYG just by the Odeon in exeter, i
know thay have changed name to Apollo computers and changed location but
they are capable of doing what i have suggested.
