Heard local managers talking about GP Wrist the other day - can't
imagine what they were on about;)
Anyway - for my money
Gamekeeper thumb is rupture of the ulnar collat due to _repetetive_
strain of the ligament in the breaking of birds necks.
I too know it as dry-ski slope thumb as the same structure is often
injured as the thumb goes into one of the holes in a dry slope and thi
poor little ligament is not robust enough to arrest the 15 stone of
lager lout from his course downhill.
This however is not correct because the latter is an acute injury and
the former a chronic one (or at least he aetiology is).
Me thinks.
