It is a system administrator thing is it not?
uu is Unix to Unix and goes back to the dark/golden age of graduate
hackers linking universities' Unix machines before the point and
click and wait world of pretty colours arrived.
Messages arriving here as uu encoded have passed through one or two
mail hubs and the mailhubs should be set up to sort that sort of
thing out.
Ours is. I nevr know whether mail was sent to me as uu or 64 or 7
bit or 8 bit or from a Mac (unless the moral superiority of the
owner is made evident, as it rather often is)
I can usually tell if it came from a Unix system by the higher level
of erudition displayed.
Hands up everyne who thinks the NHS is stampeding into NT for
reasons which are either unexamined, poor or liable to lead to
well-paid contractors coming _back_ to their old workplaces to sort
things out.
Harrumph!
