I was a bit slow off the mark with my last comment on
the hyperbaric O2 place in Portsmouth but there is an
interesting sentence on the latest communication from the
CMO on CO today, " The half life of carbon monoxide bound
to mitochondrial cytochromes may well be much longer than
that of carboxyhaemoglobin and hyperbaric oxygen has been
suggested as being important in attacking this binding site."
So maybe there is a role for late hyperbaric O2?
