Expectations and the reality are quite different. I have been saying we have
no problem for some time, provided we get rid of pre 95 computers. I have been
proved wrong, one of them is not compatible. Luckily Sheffield HA will
reimburse 75% of the cost of replacing outdated computers. I feel a large
number of non compatible computers coming on.
Thinks, a bit of software that shows that your "out of date" computer is not
Y2K compatible would be very valuable to the average GP.
Please see www.medical-legal.co.uk/fraud.html for further details :-))))
..... and yet. Have we all been conned by clever software into replcacing
perfectly useful kit? I promise to keep a computer that is meant to be non
compat going with the 1998 software until after the millenium to see what
happens, I will keep GPUK informed. It will not be networked (just in case).
