Yes.

Depends what you mean by cheaper, probably less p.a. but maybe more per hour
consider that GPs have 24 hour responsibility. Definitely cheaper for HMG to
give a few nurses loadsa dosh and leave the others underpaid, than to pay
nurses a sensible amount in the first place.

At times I think that's the role pharmacy is aspiring to. I just heard the
suggestion from a local branch meeting that a Pharmacy Ball ought to be held
"because the Mayor was a GP".
