Something similar this end. Our steriliser must now be regularly tested with
everything in writing, full audit loop, signed, counter signed, etc etc.
Local group based at Hospital offered to look after our steriliser according
to EU regs for sum of I think £700 odd per annum. (BTW EU Regs came in in
May?).
Asked local CSSD/TSSU for quote on supplying the minimal instruments we use
and they are in process of making sure all their admin/business systems are
up to scratch by doing the ISO 9000 or whatnot and can't quote until after
they have completed.
The head of this outfit was well aware that almost all GPs would be breaking
this new law but was also candid enough to say that no provision had been
made to police it other than patients making complaints.
If this sounds confused then you are right it is confusing in Thanet!
