I finally persuaded my home W98 machine to stop doing this by teking out
both the Solomons WinGuard, and PsiWin 2.1, it appears that both of these
peograms, and presumably othere, chunter on to themselves through the night,
and as you say, stop the HD sleeping. Not bothered about PsiWin, but would
have liked to leave WinGuard going!
