I too have been watching the sudden gush of experts writing in the comics.
They usually are ex-civil servants (e.g. Andreas Lambrianou) or
Management Consultants all hoping for paid employment by PCGs or else GPs
with a good line in journalism but no actual experience of setting up
groups . Only those who set up Multifunds have actual money holding PCG
experience i.e. Step 2 and above and only those who set up Commissioning
groups have Step 1 experience. The rest including the civil servants are
speculators in a very complex and tricky field of human endeavour. Their
confidence astounds me.
Former of a Multifund set up in 1992 that now cares for a third of a
million patients.
