Dear Peter
Things still seem quite grey to me.
Are you saying that we can charge the 'worried well' a fee for
administration but we cannot make out a prescription to PPB to claim
back vaccine costs ?
This seems a little odd as there are certain travel vaccines (Meningitis
A+C, Hep B) that GP's can *certainly make a charge for administration
AND claim cost back through prescription pricing bureaux. What is the
difference?
I feel this is very important as I'm sure a lot of us are already
booking patients in for vaccination and would charge the worried well if
it was legitimate but loosing the vaccination re-imbursement may mean it
is not worth the hassle.
If you can bear it, further clarification please.
*Can we charge admin fee to patient and send script to PPB?*, (as far as
you understand)
