Can't say that I am glad it has though. Not only does it suggest that
it is "for action" by GPs, I am supposed to bring it to the attention of
my staff. Does archiving it to a dark and uninhabited place count as
action?
It seems to spend a long time going over old ground. Identification of
key areas for action, for example, picks out psychiatric services where
the PCGs will have to have a plan for improving health and devising ways
to measure the gain. This is the sort of health-admin-speak that was
given to Health Authorities two or three years ago, almost word for
word. They had people whose speciality was dealing with these issues,
so why is it now down to us? Should have been done already!
Anyone fancy secondment onto a Healthcare Administration Degree course
to help them prepare for the task ahead?
