Considerations
Tactics and Policies.
Reconsiderations.
Under the present circumstances, I think, there is a critical time frame in
which big organisations like the NHS can be influenced in a major way.
Therefore I want to investigate if the negative energies spent (spoiled) on
both sides can be bend into a positive direction.
Questions.
Why can't we provide a service to the public?
Why can't we write our own advice on ICT in Health Care.
Why can't we write this advice based on our , more than average, expertise
of daily practice and ICT.
Why can't we write this advise based on the notion that of prime importance
are:
- free communication of information as opposed to controled communication
of information
- trusted, secure communication as opposed to not to be trusted, unsecure
communication
- a basic infrastructure to support communication of basic standardised
information elements between ALL systems as opposed to the inability to
exchange information between systems
- a basic flexible container (set of co-ordinated message standards) to
express basic information elements as opposed to a complete lack of such a
critical message standard
- users are the focus of ICT developments as opposed to organsisations as
focus of ICT developments
Why not?
(Perhaps I've left out some items.
But just for starters)
Let the discussion start.

ps:
It's strange to read in this E-mail the word 'we'
For many reasons it's the only appropriate one, for me.
