Not true they will give appropriate advice and only refer on to other
services ie. Gp/A&E etc etc if clincally necessary. It would be a brave
Dr who ignored NHS-D triage outcome (see below)

All the evidence is that with the triaging systems NHS-D will be using
if the outcome is see your GP the next day or a 999 ambulance now then
that outcome will be clinically indicated. The stuff we get to review
after the night before is generally not indicated, but a cop-out by the
visiting Dr NOT best clinical practice always (sic).

outcomes are appropriate and in some instances have made me alter what I
have been doing for years, after all I dont have triage algorithms based
on world best practice in my head (well not after 3.30pm anyway).
