Agree.
(in conversation with people close to the fire who might pitch in at
some point):
The other issue is, of course, that the carpet has been pulled from
under the coop movement's feet!
Instead of building on the experiences that the coops and commercial
providers have gained, they go and re-invent the wheel to follow a
sinister agenda (I believe).
Next stop is big American firms providing in and out of hours services
under dubious PFI schemes.
The spinners, of course, will tell us that all is well and that this is
a major triumph for everybody.
