I seem to remember that the right testes venous drainage is direct into the
Inferior vean Cava and the left into the left renal vein. I would probably
ultrasound the kidneys with added doppler studies to assess any evidence of
clot in the renal veins. They will get a look at the para aortic lymph nodes
at the same time giving further reassurance vis a vis the testes.
Its cheap, cheerful, wont harm the patient and will give a pretty definative
answer even though the prior probability of disease is low
