True, a valuable resource I would say. Along with other professionals
such as, oh I don't know - let's say pharmaceutical advisors.
It beats me therefore why 'the management' don't manage it better. Seems
like elementary economics to me.
I don't think we can afford to continue to confuse the NHS with its
manpower. The are not the same thing. One is a theoretical model while
the other consists of skilled employees. The monopoly of unquestioning
loyalty is being eroded with continuing misuse.
For me the model is still a good one but it needs modernising and
deserves more realistic management. Even a beaten dog will eventually
leave.
