What makes you think they would have to 'break in'; they would
almost certainly use their key! Remember that most breaches of
security of any sort are carried out by 'insiders', who have been
authorised! Of course I am sure that would not be true in your case,
since I am sure that you have carried out a thorough security vetting
of all the staff who can get into your building. I am however making
a serious point. The enemy (ie would be getter at the data in this
case) is within. And in broad terms it is possible to make an IT
system more secure against unauthorised access than a paper-based
one; that said, in BOTH cases if someone who is a key holder is
either bribed or coerced in to unauthorised access there is not a lot
that can be done.
