For an Executive, this man will be of adequate intellect to perform his job.
Given that he has the problem only twice a year or so, a touch of anxiety
management / Counselling by a trained CPN can avoid medicalising his
condition and ending up on any kind of medication +/- long term. Having done
a Psychiatry stint for my VTS recently, I probably will dig into hidden
agenda and his job satisfaction etc...
PS: humble opinion of a trainee GP, could be wrong, will check with my
Trainer!!
