On October 24, the Health Service Journal reported that the NHS
Executive was on the
verge of shelving the project while a credible business case could be
constructed. Officially,
the Administrative Register is being "re-phased". But few expect it to
emerge from the process
intact.
Following the report, Ken Jarrold, the NHS director of human and
corporate resources,
wrote to suppliers saying that "timing of the implementation will be
resolved shortly".
At least one of the four on the short-list, Siemens Nixdorf Information
Systems, has dropped
out.
So, where are the chaps who were setting that one up, now?
The Kable site is interesting, and says
"Comments and contributions on the state of NHS information systems can
be
e-mailed to [log in to unmask] "
So why not, guys?
