I've given an answer to this in a reply elsewhere in this thread. All you
have done now is convince me that some things are possible, after all, but
that they take a great deal of effort and trouble - and therefore staff/GP
time and expense.
I would rather that we on GPC concentrated on attempting to get all our
colleagues a damn good pay-rise for once. That will do far more for
patient care than IT because it could well retain disgruntled GPs in
practice a few more years.
I suppose there is the scenario where the patient enters a closed, padded
cubicle, switches on and grasps a terminal, is scanned for "health or
sickness", and finally instilled with "health" - or terminated. Wouldn't
need GPs then, so maybe you should carry on :-)))
