examine both, no presc if exam normal (unless extenuating circumstances)
Its an insult in an infrequent attender to not examine then not prescribe.

Subject: Listening to the chest
Here's 2 scenarios....
1. 45 yr old doctor with a productive cough 6 days green sputum.
No PMH of note
2. 45 yr old dispatch rider with a productive cough 6 days green sputum.
No PMH of note
How many of you would listen to the chest before giving antibiotics ?
What would be your first line ?
Cheers Pete
