stick to what you know is best and right. High prescribing for minor illness
causes high attendance and decreases pts inate ability to manage themselves.
It is that way around.

Will someone tell me what the last word on calpol/soluble paracetamol etc is?
I am aware that some of my local practices seem to have policies against
giving them to kids on an FP10. Our practice has been giving 'em out for years
along with other kiddie anti-symptomatics. We have been bullied by the adult
folk who have freebie scripts as well for them.
I am not a cheap prescriber I'm afraid, being very aggressive at asthma for
example and on statins.
My patients don't appreciate the sentiment and think I'm shortchanging them
when I hand out say inhalers and spacers instead of their beloved calpol etc.
I appreciate you may have had this before but after you've had your 6th
heated"calpol/simple linctus/galupsed" negotiation" in a morning......it don't
half take it out of you! VIEWS PLEASE
