Not criticising but is not the latter, i.e. maintaining awareness of
changes in practices, one of the critical problems faced by all medical
professionals. Especially for GP's who don't have the advantage of
specialisation to limit the number of pulses they need to keep their
fingers on. Given an efficient information retrieval interface, is this
not where the Internet has the potential for changing the face of
medicine. Yes, I realise I am preaching to the converted! :-) It's just
that awareness, or rather the lack of it, is arguably the main reason
this patient feels it necessary to impose himself on this august
assembly.
