I wonder if anyone can tell me how enterically coated are e/c drugs?
One of my local trusts had a junior-perpetuated nightmare which still persists
that anyone on Aspirin over 65 got a PPI !! I know that covering a NSAID for
say gout in some one with a previous Upper GI problem has been common
certainly since my SHO days. Omeprazole has only got the licence for
prophylaxis in this sort of case recently. It sound megabucks expensive to me.
