But of course this is what the profession's leaders rejoiced about in
1990. We already *do* an extra weeks service for no extra pay.
If you are not on holiday, you are *working*. Single-handers will know
what I mean, but even in a group, someone is having to cover you, for no
pay. If you attend courses in the evening, you are giving up your (and
your family's) free time, *for nothing*.
The PGEA allowance was a pay cut, only restored by giving up 30 hours of
*your* time.
As the Jelly Bean says, 'wake up, people'! And the BMA. And the
RCGP!
