How many people transfer the lab results onto a summary sheet, so as to
show trends in reasonable space on one page?
The presentation of results as individual pieces of paper seems
inferior for monitoring or tracking eg HbA1c in DIabetes.
The way in which our systems are being transferred to computer records
of lab results seems to mirror the one piece of paper per test
approach, or are we getting lots of systems with spreadsheets?
In 1978 the computer at the London was turning out a new A4 page of
results, up to date, each day for any patient who had had a test
reported that day. THe individual test results were available
individually on screen. It worked well enough.
A web page approach would be even neater.
