Provide a means of conveying a question from the source of the question
to the individual practice/outlet databases (of whatever clinical
software is in use)
Provide a means of conveying the resulting data/report back to the
originator of the query.
Provide a means of displaying the resulting, aggregated data
intelligibly, without significant additional work just on publishing
it, and in a fashion which combines the display of data for the
originator of the query to work on, with their analysis or conclusions
about it (or demonstrates that no analysis has been done or conclusions
reached) with a drillable down summary to greater detail to raw data
structure.
To allow the dissemination of suggestions based upon such activity, and
the discussion of same, without detracting from proper clinical work.
All questions posed to be answered from data of a sort held in GP
databases should be posed using the MIQUEST editor, thus constraining
them to being answerable in those terms, and avoiding the easy
answering of poor questions which require extensive work in order to
produce meaningless results.
At least a subset of collated and interpreted data to be easily,
simultaneously, published to the public, without additional costs.
