I used Blackwell Idealist to accept notes made on a Z88 for a few years
and rouged out ways of importing them under supervision - which is what
TextBase is aimed at.
Out of Hours software should be able to export the name and other
details of a patient to the laptop/palmtop of a doctor about to make a
note on them, and import the note keyed by the OoH software's own
reference number, preferably over an infrared link.
If the NHS was competently managed (and I include the practices in
this) and had competent software development aimed at clinical
priorities then it should be accomplished in a couple of months - two
years ago.
Cheers. Anyone out there in commercial land please make contact. Better
make that off GP-UK. :)
