Obviously the lawyer is not a specialist in medical negligence or he would
surely have sussed out the technobabble for his client (your pt.)
Or is he keeping the explanation to himself in the hope that your pt. will
stick with him if he (your pt.) decides to proceed with the case?

If I was your pt., I would feel aggrieved that my lawyer had only done "half
the job".
Should you offer to help explain the report? Yes - for a time-based fee :-))
because this is not GMS work.
